The Bentonville Film Festival presented their spotlight screenings Thursday.
Tom Shadyac’s ‘Brian Banks’ was one of two that played Thursday night.
The film captures a football player’s NFL dreams being completely ruined when he is falsely accused of rape and sent to prison.
“This story is a story about one persons journey to fight for redemption, for freedom, for truth. It’s a story that exposes some flaws about our judicial system within America,” said Brian Banks, former NFL linebacker.
The film festival also presented Martha Stephens’ film “To the Stars.”
