Clay Morgan introduces us to our Pet of the Week, and tells us about the shelter’s park friendly dogs!
“We have more people coming to the area in Benton and Washington County both – there are dog parks popping up everywhere. People coming in want dogs that are dog park friendly. We are very fortunate at the Humane Society for Animals. We have our own dog park and have several other areas where we can meet and greet also. It takes a certain kind of dog to be a dog park dog. We have six dogs at the shelter today that can go and play at the dog park all day long. Cogburn – he is a little heeler mix – tan, he is about 2 years old. He is blind in one eye. He can still see shadows and he doesn’t get startled at the dog park. He can go o the dog park, play all day and we got boxer mixes, Pyrenees lab mixes. Any one of these would be perfect for the dog park. Get your dog before everyone is home for the holiday, that way it is a part of the family at Christmas.”
