Pets of the Week: Tommy, Billy Jean and Luke Skywalker

Pet of the Week
Clay Morgan from the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers introduces us to our Pets of the Week:

“Tommy and Billy Jean. They are siblings, they were found out in the rural areas of Benton County. Four of them were brought in. They are domestic long hair so there will be a lot of maintenance – a lot of brushing and things like that. These will be the closest to a main coon kitty that we will get. They are a big kitty cat, just like to lay in your lap, very popular with a lot of people. If you go buy pure bred they will cost you thousands of dollars. They are just a big cat that wants to be held. They are two or three months old and ready to be adopted. This is Luke Skywalker. He is a year and a half old cattle dog. He came in with an injured foot, it had been crushed by a car, four to five months before he came into the shelter. He has had surgery on his foot and now we are trying to retrain him to use his foot because he was used to not using it for so long. He is wonderful, housebroken, very obedient, he would be a dog you could take hiking. You don’t have to have a leash for him, he’ll follow you anywhere you go. Gets along with kids, people, good with cats, good with all dogs, in fact he enjoys the dog park. It’s his favorite hobby.”
