Carroll Electric working on restoring power

UPDATE: As of 4 p.m. Aug. 29, four more electric poles have been replaced. Most neighborhood lines have been restored. There are 141 residences without power, according to Carroll Electric.

Residents who don’t have power restored are encouraged to call 800-432-9720 and select option 1.

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA) — UPDATE: The majority of Carroll Electric clients without power are in Bella Vista. As of shortly before 6 p.m. that number was 5,013.

Fifty-one broken poles have been found and some have already been fixed. Crews will be working throughout the night and another crew will start before dawn on Wednesday, August 28.


Carroll Electric reports more than 6,500 of their customers are without power, at one point the number was 25,000.

Severe weather caused the outages on Monday night, August 26. Carroll Electric field crews have found 26 broken poles, severe tree damage, and with the western end of Bella Vista as being the area hardest hit. “War zone,” is how one person described the area.

The company said it will take 24-48 hours to restore all power. As a reminder, they ask all people to stay away from downed power lines.
