SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (KNWA) — Siloam Springs firefighters are near the city’s Kayak Park rescuing a man from flooded waters.
First responders were dispatched about 3 p.m. to Fisher Ford Road near the park. The driver was heading north when his truck stalled.
“We have been down there more than we would like,” Chief Jeremey Criner said. “We have responded to about half-dozen calls there recently.”
Criner said firefighters used a boat to get the man from the floodwaters. The man was stranded on top of his truck when help arrived. He was not injured.
“We really want people to know to turn around and don’t drown” Criner said.
