This week KNWA and our sister station FOX24 partnered with Arkansas Children’s Northwest and Bio-Tech Pharmacal, Inc., to host the Give Kids a Miracle Telethon.  We want to reveal how much YOU gave in this effort…drumroll please….$15,714!! Thank you Northwest Arkansas for showing your support for ACNW.  Also a big thank you to Bio-Tech Pharmacal, Inc. for their sponsorship.

Even if you’re a square, you should be dancing.  Fayetteville Square Dance invites you out to the Guisinger Music House for traditional southern square dances taught and called to old-time string band music.  The beginner lesson starts at 8:00 p.m. with dancing to follow until 11:00 p.m.  For more information click here.

Black Apple Crossing in downtown Springdale welcomes Comedian Meghan Welch to perform at their comedy show with support from Comedians NWA on Saturday, February 23. Meghan is from orignially from Wichita, KS but has become an NWA favorite.  The comedy show kicks off  8:00 p.m.  For more information click here

February is Black History Month and we’ve been celebrating all month long.  The events continue on Sunday as NWA Compassion Fayetteville invite you to The Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church for Celebration Day and Style Show in partnership with Dillards.  The event starts at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24. Did you hear?   In honor of the hit Broadway musical “Waitress” coming to Fayetteville, KNWA is teaming up with the Walton Arts Center to give local pie bakers a chance to shine with a “Baked from the Heart” pie contest.  Amateur or professional bakers can enter online here to compete in the ultimate bake-off.  One of the many grand prizes includes a special feature on Good Day NWA!
