Good Day NWA: Happening in NWA Friday, February 8


The musical “Falsettos” is opening Friday night at the Walton Arts Center.  This Tony-winning musical is returning to the stage in an all new production straight from the Lincoln Center. The play is launching its nationwide tour from right here in Fayetteville after rehearsing and teching the show here for a week.

Happening in the River Valley, 64.6 Downtown in collaboration with Bastion Gallery is opening an exhibit titled “Now and Then: A Celebration of Black History in Fort Smith.”  The opening reception is set for Saturday, February 9 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will take place at the Bastion Gallery on Garrison Ave.  For more information click here

Noted Geneaologist Rich Venezia will be at the Fayetteville Public Library, Saturday, February 9.  The event will take you on a journey through immigration research. This workshop is all about discovering your ancestor’s foreign origins.  The event will begin at 1:00 p.m.  For more information click here

Children of the World International Children’s Choir will be performing at Christian Life Catherdral in Fayetteville on Sunday at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.  The children have come from as far away as Uganda and Nepal to sing as part of their Refugee Plus Strength Tour.
