Here’s a way you can give back to the community.  Cystic Fibrosis – Arkansas Chapter is holding their annual meeting and volunteer reception.  The meeting will review the accomplishments of 2018 and share the exciting things to come in 2019!  If you’re interested in learning more about how you can get involved to help raise awareness around CF, you can attend the meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Acosta Sales & Marketing in Rogers.  For more information click here. 

Fayetteville Public Library kicks off a four-part series called “What the Health.”  The series will be held at 4:00 p.m. and will cover a wide variety of health-related topics with each class led by an expert in their field. For more details as well as additional session dates click here

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be speaking at an inspirational dinner.  The event will take place at 104 SW A St. in Bentonville at 6:30 p.m.  Dr. King has passion, faith, and a voice and she’s definitely not to be missed. For more information click here

Singer-Songwriter and acoustic troubador Murray Williams will be performing at Aloft in Rogers. You might recognize Murray as one-half of the bands Lazy Daisy and Dirt Flannel Shirt.  You may have also seen him right here on Good Day NWA.  The music will begin at 7:00 p.m.  For more information click here.

Did you hear?   In honor of the hit Broadway musical “Waitress” coming to Fayetteville, KNWA is teaming up with the Walton Arts Center to give local pie bakers a chance to shine with a “Baked from the Heart” pie contest.  Amateur or professional bakers can enter online here to compete in the ultimate bake-off.  One of the many grand prizes includes a special feature on Good Day NWA!
