It’s a special day for a national treasure. Happy birthday 97th birthday to the one and only Betty White. Her career spans nearly eight decades. She’s probably best known for her Emmy winning role as “Rose” on the long-running series The Golden Girls. White holds the Guinness World Record for the longest TV career for a female entertainer. She’s won five primetime Emmy awards and one Grammy award. And says she wants to be remembered for work with animals and animal-related charities.

Nike unveiled its newest self-lacing technology this week called Nike Adapt BB. The self-lacing basketball shoe is controlled by an app. And Nike has bigger plans. Once the kinks are ironed out, the company plans to expand fit-adapt into other sports and lifestyle products.
Rihanna is suing her dad. The singer said her father, Ronald Fenty, and his partner, Moses Perkins, falsely used her name to make money. Her dad and his business partner launched production and talent company Fenty Entertainment in 2017, the same year the singer launched her Fenty Beauty line. Rihanna accuses them of trying to register fenty for a line of resort hotels, and negotiating unauthorized deals for her to perform around the world. The singer has been open in the past about the complicated relationship with her father. She’s seeking damages and attorney’s fees in the suit.
