Good Day NWA: Jerry Springer Making TV Comeback

Lifestyle

Jerry Springer is returning to daytime television, but his show will take place in a courtroom instead of on stage. The former host of the “Jerry Springer Show” inked a deal with NBC for “Judge Jerry”. Springer has a law degree from Northwestern University.  And before he was a talk show host, he had a career in politics including a stint as the mayor of Cincinnati.  “Judge Jerry” is expected to premiere in the fall of 2019.

A routine traffic stop turned into a surprise birthday.  With a dash camera rolling, a state highway patrol trooper pulled over a speeding van. The trooper was confronted by a frantic man whose wife was in labor.  The trooper called an ambulance, grabbed gloves and blanket then went to the car to help. EMS made it in enough time to deliver the couple’s baby girl. The newly-arrived Halyn Baker’s appearance was unexpected. She was not due until Wednesday.

An intruder at a California Highway Patrol facility gave officers a scare but the culprit wasn’t arrested.  That’s because the suspect in question was a dexterous bear who made his way into the building. The bear appears to take a peek inside the building, and then opens the door to go inside.  Eventually the bear walked out the same way it came in, and was followed by two armed officers.

If you have a sweet pooch at home you will like this story.  A recent study found women who share their beds with dogs report less disturbed sleep and greater feelings of security and comfort.  Women who sleep with cats did not show those benefits and reported disrupted sleep as much as women who share a bed with a human partner.  The correlation between better sleep with dogs is based on self-reported data and has not been confirmed using an objective measure.
