First up, John Cho explores the dark web in “Searching.” The “Star Trek” star plays a father who’s teenage daughter is missing. But the detective assigned to the case isn’t making much progress using traditional techniques, so Cho enters the refuge of most teenagers, the internet. “Searching” is rated PG-13.
Up next, Oscar Isaac collects an overdue debt in “Operation Finale.” This drama is based on the real-life capture of a top Nazi. Ben Kingsley plays the architect of Hitler’s “final solution.” but he escapes to Argentina after World War II, where he’s tracked down by Israeli agents to answer for his crimes. “Operation Finale” is rated PG-13.
Strange things are afoot at the guest table in “Destination Wedding.” This anti-romantic comedy reunites Keanu Reeves with former “Dracula” co-star Winona Ryder. The two play guests traveling to a far-away exchange of vows who find themselves with a red-hot case of hate at first sight. “Destination Wedding” is in limited release over the weekend.
