On Monday, January 21, the nation will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was a beacon of light in a time of darkness and after more than 50 years, his life and legacy still live on.
The Northwest Arkansas Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Council has made it its mission to spread Dr. King’s message of unity and equality for all.
Angela Mosley-Monts, President of the council, and Dr. Danielle Williams join Good Day NWA with details on how folks here in NWA can honor Dr. King.
Events this year kick off Saturday, January 19 with a community service project at 9:00 a.m. at the Fayetteville Boy & Girls Club. Events will continue through the weekend and end Monday with the 23rd Annual Recommitment Banquet happening at 7:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center.
