Open Mouth Reading Series is a community-based poetry series. The organization hosts an annual fall festival, workshops, and a summer poetry retreat.
You can participate in a poetry workshop with featured poet D. M. Aderibigbe happening Sunday, February 10 from 2:00 p.m – 3:15 p.m. at the Mount Sequoyah Center. Registration is free, but donations of $5 are encouraged. The group will also host a poetry reading session with D. M. Aderibigbe and Peter Mishler at Nomads in Fayetteville from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
If you’re looking for a way to immerse yourself in writing poetry, there is a retreat you can register for happening May 31- June 2. The retreat will feature several workshops and provide an environment that fosters writing. To register for the retreat click here. Registration closes February 15.
