Good Day NWA: Build-a-Bear Makes Changes to Pay Your Age Program

Good Day NWA

It’s Kylie Jenner’s party, but people online can cry if they want to about it.  The reality show star posted pictures from a ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ party she hosted.  She said it’s her favorite show.  But responses on social media chided Jenner for supposedly missing the show’s message about female oppression and suffering.  For instance, the party featured guests in red robes and white bonnets inspired by the series.
But on the show the oppressed female characters in “Handmaid’s” are forced to wear the outfits by the men in power.

Pump the brakes if you were hoping for a ‘Friends’ reunion.  Jennifer Aniston is backtracking on her statement the popular show coming back.  Aniston drove fans into a frenzy, when she told Ellen DeGeneres last week that the cast is probably ready for a reunion.  She’s now telling ‘Entertainment Tonight’ there are no plans  in the immediate future.

Build-a-Bear’s pay your age promotion returns with new rules.  This year only a limited number of tickets will be available for the pay your age event.  You may remember last year’s event was only for one day and prompted long lines and store closings due to heavy turnout.  Here in NWA the store had to close 30 minutes after opening for safety concerns.  As people were being turned away, Build-a-Bear staff handed out $15 vouchers for people to redeem later.  This year participants must be part of the Build-a-Bear rewards program and enter by June 16 for a chance to get one of 200,000 tickets.  If you’re one of the lucky winners, you’ll receive a notification via e-mail.  The tickets will be redeemable for a new furry friend during select days between June 24 and June 28.
