Good Day NWA

Tonight on top of Mt. Sequoyah, they are having their annual fundraiser, the Smartathon. It’s a family friendly trivia night complete with food, beer, wine, a silent auction, and trivia – of course. The proceeds will go to benefit the restoration and revitalization efforts of the Mt. Sequoyah Center. The fun kicks off at 5:30 p.m. For tickets click here

It will be a special night in Bentonville at Old High Middle School. Holocaust survivor Pieter Kohnstam will speak at 7:00 p.m. Pieter’s family were close friends with the Anne Frank family and he will share his experiences.  For more details click here

The University of Arkansas Department of Theatre in partnership with the African American Studies program present a new play called “Black Book.” The play is written and performed by Austin Dean Ashford and directed by Dexter Singleton.  You can catch the free show at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the University Theatre.  For more information click here

If you’re ready for some live music, head to George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville where Austin-based artist Sun June will be performing. The show opener is Fayetteville-based group Magnolia. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and music starts at 9:00 p.m. For ticket information click here.
