Good Day NWA: Local Non-Profit Helps Kids get Ready for School

Fayette Village is a local non-profit organization set out to help kids overcome adversity they may face at home, in school or in our community. 

Micah Dennis, founder of Fayette Village, joined us to talk about a Back-to-School Celebrity Basketball Game they are having to make sure kids have the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.

The Back-to-School Celebrity Basketball Game will be held at The Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club August 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Fayette Village will provide free backpacks, school supplies, food, and drinks for local children.

Along with the basketball game, there will be a live DJ, and bounce houses.

Some special guests include: Streetball Legend Posterboy, Houston Rocket's Vincent Edwards, Razorback Alumni, USA Olympians , Fayetteville Public School Teachers, Fayetteville Firefighters, DJ's, and musicians. The Celebrity Coaches are John Colbert and Rodger Hunter.

The event is free for kids and $5 for adults.
