The first review of Bella Vista’s air monitoring data during fire remediation shows that overall, air emissions are below levels “likely to cause health effects for the general population,” according to the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH).

The information released by ADH Tuesday, May 21, said data continues to be collected by the 61st Civil Support Team, Arkansas National Guard and CTEH, which is a contractor for the Bella Vista Property Owner’s Association (BVPOA).

Should there be any immediate “health or safety” community threats Benton County’s Emergency Notification System will be used.

Remediation crews began working at the Trafalgar Road site on Saturday, May 18.

BVPOA said the goal is to have the task finished within 30 days.

The fire was first reported in July 2018, according to the Bella Vista Fire Department.
