Many of us as kids say we want to be doctors, lawyers or even astronauts when we grow up, but one five-year-old boy from Rogers said all he wants to do is greet you as you enter your local Walmart.
Will Coffman currently works as a greeter at Walmart part-time. It all started when his pre-k teacher asked him to draw his dream job. His dad, Jason Coffman, tweeted that picture to Walmart and the company responded by offering him an opportunity to greet customers, stock shelves and even work as a cashier. His dad said this is the moment Will has been waiting for.
“He’s excited. He’s been excited all week, you know. And he woke up Monday morning and we were getting ready for school and he got mad because he didn’t want to go to school. He wanted to come to work at Walmart,” said Coffman.
Coffman said it’s a joy to watch Will’s enthusiasm rub off on the customers he greets. Will doesn’t have a set schedule, but you just might catch him at the Walmart on Pleasant Crossing.
