via KARK) – The Attorney General of Arkansas has been chatting with the Trump Administration transition team.
Leslie Rutledge took a few minutes to talk with the media gathered at Trump Tower in New York City Thursday where the President-elect’s staff is working on Donald Trump’s transition to the White House.
“I’m very excited to be here. I’ve been meeting with other attorneys general and councils from across the country about the Trump Administration and what we’re going to be able to do in terms of regulations,” Rutledge said. “I’m just here today to continue those conversations and visit more about what we are doing and what we can more forward to make sure that the American economy keeps growing, more people have jobs.”
Rutledge did not disclose with whom she was meeting.
“I have lived in DC for five years. It’s a beautiful city,” she commented, before adding “I love being attorney general of Arkansas but my philosophy is I’ve done a lot of work helping out the President-elect and the campaign and I’m excited about his administration and you always take the call when the White House calls.”
“My interest is in helping the Trump Administration,” Rutledge continued. Whatever position I can do, whether that’s continuing on as the Attorney General of Arkansas or work in the Administration then my ears are open, but again, I love being the AG of Arkansas and taking care of people in my home state.”
