Arkansas River not expected to crest at predicted height


The Arkansas River, which is hitting historic flood levels in the River Valley, is expected to crest at a height lower than predicted.

Army Corps of Engineers officials said they expect the Arkansas River to crest at 41 feet, lower than the 42.5 feet that meteorologists with the National Weather Service’s Tulsa office predicted.
