Benton County Sheriff’s Office Joins Operation Reboot

FOX24

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KFTA) — A SWAT truck with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office took part in a special mission today.

Armed with donations, the truck made a stop at Creekside Middle School in Bentonville.

The Sheriff’s Office helped students gather items for Operation Reboot.

The local nonprofit helps veterans in our area start over after deployment by giving them household items.

Sgt. Shannon Jenkins said it was important to get involved because of how many active and former service members are part of the Sheriff’s Office.

“When someone is coming back and trying to build a home again they may need things as simple as some shampoo, or bedding, or a pot and pan and we’re a very fortunate community,” Jenkins said.

This is the first year the Sheriff’s Office partnered with a school to help out Operation Reboot.
