Black Tie Ball Filled With Heart

FOX24

It was a black tie affair, but a lot of red could be seen at the American Heart Association’s Annual Heart Ball in Rogers.

The event celebrates the efforts of our local American Heart Association.

Year round, it works to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke within our community.

Organizers say the goal of the heart ball is to raise upwards of  $700,000 dollars.

“[The money is needed] to help with research, not only locally, but nationwide. Also for advocacy, improving heart health and obviously education for people in our community to live a healthier life,” said Chuck Fehlig with the Northwest Arkansas Heart Ball.

The Heart Ball is timely as February is National American Heart Month.

Chief Meterologist Dan Skoff and KNWA anchor Jennifer Penate hosted the event.
