Buffalo National River to Employ Local Teens for Summer Program

The Buffalo National River is now accepting applications for the Youth Conservation Corps.

The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC), is a summer youth employment program that engages the youth in meaningful work experiences on public lands.

During the eight week program, YCC members will work on projects that promote awareness and appreciation of the public lands legacy and the nation’s natural, cultural, and historic resources.

Youth Conservation Corps workers will assist with a variety of trail and facility maintenance projects at Buffalo National River while networking with peers and National Park Service staff.

The application deadline is May 1.
