Wednesday’s accident happened near Trafalgar Road and Grosvenor Road. Lapp says a woman on a mountain bike fell around 11:00 a.m. and was taken to the hospital.

Lapp says the the city has not yet installed signs alerting riders the the degree of difficulty or locators that allow riders to identify where they are during an emergency. Theses signs will not be put up until construction of the trail is complete.

The 40 mile trail system is located on the east side of the city and is expected to be completed in November 2016.

Until that time, the city says the trail is not open to the public.
