City of Rogers and ArDOT Team-Up to Increase Safety

A new first of its kind system for drivers is coming to northwest Arkansas and it’s a system aimed to help keep you and your family safe.

The city of Rogers and Arkansas Department of Transportation teamed up for the system.

Right now on the ArDOT app, you can only see severe weather updates on major roadways like 71B or Highway 62.

With the new addition, you will see about 15 more roads that are likely on your commute.

“Especially here in the south things tend to grind to a halt if there’s any hint of snow or ice or inclement weather so we hope through this app folks will be able to know how the roads are going to be. They’ll be able to know they can get to their destination safely,” Public Relations Manager Ben Cline says.

The city is also looking to add regular, non-weather related traffic updates for the streets.
