A large turnout is expected for an internationally-renowned author’s speaking appearance at the Fayetteville Public Library.
Khaled Hosseini, the author of “The Kite Runner,” will be speaking at the library Friday, April 26.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m.
Khaled Hosseini is one of the most recognized and best-selling authors in the world. His books, “The Kite Runner,” “A Thousand Splendid Suns,” and “And the Mountains Echoed,” have been published in over seventy countries and sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, according to the news release.
Library officials encourage attendees to arrive early if they want to park in the library’s parking deck.
Overflow parking is available in the Center Street Church of Christ parking lot on the corner of Center Street and School Avenue, as well as the City of Fayetteville parking lot located on West Mountain Street near Loafin’ Joes. Both of these parking lots are featured in the below map provided by the library.
“Golf cart shuttles will be running at both locations before and after the event to transport patrons,” a library news release states.
