The Fayetteville school summer lunch program will expand for its third year to serve free lunches to anyone 18 and younger.

The program will include a third mobile site for this summer.

Here are the mobile locations that will have lunches Monday through Friday, June 3 through August 6, with the exception of July 4:

  • Yvonne Richardson Community Center at 240 E. Rock St. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Fayetteville Public Library at 401 W Mountain St. Lunch will be served from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
  • American Legion Post 27 parking lot at 1195 Curtis Ave. Lunch will be served from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.

The main site for lunches and snacks will be at Holt Middle School 2365 Rupple Rd. Lunch will be served from 10:45 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“I am excited to see our program expand for a third year in a row with the addition of a third mobile site,” said Superintendent Dr. John L Colbert. “The program served an average of 450 students per day in 2018, and we anticipate serving approximately 600 per day in the summer of 2019. This program has served our community well for many years, and we’re happy to be able to expand the program to reach more students with healthy, nutritious meals during the summer.”
