FHS Head Football Coach Resigns

Superintendent Dr. Paul Hewitt has accepted the resignation of Fayetteville High School head football coach Daryl Patton, Thursday.

Patton submitted his resignation citing personal and family reasons. 

He served as the head coach of the Bulldogs since the 2003 season. His teams have won the 7A state championship in 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2015.

“We are grateful to Coach Patton for his work in building our football program, winning the first football state championships in school history, and setting the stage for Fayetteville High School to be football powerhouse,” Hewitt said. “We wish him well in his future endeavors and thank him for his outstanding work here. He will be missed.”
