Flood relief supply drive held in Lowell

A Lowell-based company is also helping with flood relief.

Central Research Inc. hosted a flood relief supply drive for folks impacted by flooding and partnered with Propak Logistics of Fort Smith to transport the supplies.

Volunteers collected toiletries, nonperishables, heavy-duty garbage bags, first aid kits, and tools.

CRI Communications Director Tara Muck said, “it’s not just River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, we’re all Arkansans. We’re all humans, what we really want to do is say, ‘let’s come together and benefit places that are really struggling right now.'”

“What is happening in the River Valley is devastating. As neighbors to those communities, we wanted to find a way to offer some relief to residents,” said Scott Dillard, president and CEO of Central Research Inc. “I’m very proud to see our team step up to organize this drive and appreciate the willingness of Propak to quickly help us find a way to deliver the items to residents impacted by the historic flood.”

Central Research said that the turnout was fantastic and that any little bit helps.
