The Gravette Historical Museum Commission will host a Veterans Day Service on Sunday afternoon.

The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery.

“This service will also commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the signing of the World War I armistice agreement, which was signed on November 11, 1918, and ended fighting between the Allies and Germany,” the news release states.

Arkansas State Senator and current Senate Majority Leader, Col. Jim Hendren, will speak at the service, according to the news release.

“After the service, the Gravette Historical Museum will host an open house at the museum, located at 503 Charlotte St. SE. Some of Field E. Kindley’s personal belongings and other World War I artifacts will be on display,” the news release states.
