United Way of Northwest Arkansas wants your help getting diapers for new moms in need.
First, download the Be Neighborly App. Next, donate to the diaper drive. The goal is to help the more than 12,000 children living in poverty. Diapers cost an average of $80 a month and many families cannot afford it.
“We have 12,284 children under the age of three that are living in poverty and/or right around the poverty line and on average a child goes through 8 to 10 so if you do the math, and you think about the number of diapers that a family goes through it’s absolutely, you know it’s amazing, it’s huge,” said Elisabeth Ward with United Way.
United Way will be accepting donations until Mother’s Day, which is on May 14.
