Springdale police need help locating a hit and run suspect who caused life-threatening injuries to a local man.
Springdale police were called to the area of Highway 264 and Ferns Valley Loop at approximately 6:53 a.m. Monday regarding a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
When officers arrived they found a man later identified as 23-year-old Jeen John lying in the Highway 264 roadway with injuries he sustained when a vehicle struck him, according to a news release issued by Lt. Jeff Taylor of the Springdale Police Department.
“The vehicle that struck the male left the scene without stopping,” Taylor said in the news release.
John was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, Taylor said.
The suspect was driving a silver or gray 1996-2006 Volkswagen Jetta, according to Taylor.
