Lifesaving Devices Delivered to 7hills Homeless Center

Washington Regional Medical Center’s Nurse Leadership Council delivered automated external defibrillators — or AEDs — and bleeding control kits to the 7hills Homeless Center Thursday during the center’s community outreach fair

Students from the University of Arkansas Nursing Program were also there to help assess and contribute to the needs of the community through donations and education.

“So we assessed the educational needs of the population here at 7hills Homeless Shelter, and we put on a health promotion event, such as when to go to the ER, personal health and coping strategies,” said Meredith Molder, senior U of A Nursing Program student.

The students have been at the homeless center for the last six weeks assessing the members.
