Police responded to a disturbance call resulting in a man hitting an officer Wednesday, February 27.
The call came from the Academy at Frisco apartments on North West Avenue in Fayetteville around 4 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the ground. When officers approached him and went to wake him up, he became violent and struck an officer.
Officers were able to restrain him and he was taken to Washington Regional.
Police say he could face charges of public disturbance and assault.
