Missing 11-Year-Old Boy in Fort Smith Found Unharmed



Johntavious Owens, the missing 11-year-old boy in Fort Smith, has been found safe at the Stephens Boys and Girls Club on North 6th Street.


Fort Smith Police are searching for a missing 11-year-old boy.

According to police, Johntavious Owens was reported missing on Wednesday, Nov. 16 by his mother Amariss Owens. Owens told police her son did not return home from school on Wednesday.

Johntavious Owens takes the bus to and from his school.

Police interviewed classmates and teachers and found out Johntavious did not take the bus home from school, but decided to walk on Wednesday. A classmate told police Johntavious had an argument with another child and said he wasn’t going to go back to school. The school’s surveillance videos did not show Johntavius getting into a car or school bus.

Johntavious was last seen wearing camouflage pants, brown thermal shirt, black and brown shoes and black rimmed glasses.

Anyone with information on Johntavious’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Fort Smith Police Department.
