Ozark Regional Transit Sees Growth After Setback

Ozark Regional Transit is back on track in 2019, two years after an explosion.

ORT had nearly 226,000 fixed route trips in 2018 and over 21,000 paratransit trips.

The explosion happened Jan. 10,  2017, and totaled 20 buses in ORT’s fleet.

The cause was determined to be a result of high winds sparking a tailpipe of one of the buses.

ORT borrowed vehicles from as far away as Key West, Fla., to maintain operations.
