SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (KFTA) — Siloam Springs Regional Hospital opened its doors for its Second Annual Pink Party.

The event aims to promote breast cancer awareness, encourage women to get mammograms and help women become more comfortable with the process.

Attendees were given tours, shown the machinery and introduced to the hospital staff.

The hospital also offered massages and manicures, but Aimee Morrell, director of marketing for the hospital, said health is priority number one.

“Get your mammograms. That’s one of the most important things. As I always say, early detection is the best protection, prevention,” Morrell said. “It doesn’t hurt to get in there and make it happen.”

This isn’t the only event of its kind. Next Thursday Northwest Health will host a Pink Night on Oct. 11.
