Police Search for Aggressive Shoplifter and Accomplice

ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) — Rogers police are searching for two women involved in a shoplifting, one of whom attacked store staff.

The incident occurred Thursday evening at the Target at 2404 S. Promenade Blvd.

A Target loss prevention officer approached a female customer with reddish hair and wearing a multi-colored jacket suspected of shoplifting Thursday evening, according to a Rogers Police Department Facebook news release.

“However the subject then used physical force on the store employee to resist apprehension,” the news release said. “The second subject in the white entered the store and confronted the loss prevention officer, allowing the first subject to flee the store.”

Both women fled the scene in a white SUV. The staff member was able to reclaim the shoplifted property, the news release states.

Because the suspect used physical force while trying to steal the item she is classified as having committed a robbery, the news release states.
