President Trump Set to Speak in Springfield


SPRINGFIELD Mo. (KOLR) — The White House Monday notified journalists in Springfield President Trump is scheduled to arrive in Springfield Wednesday afternoon.

According to a White House release, the president will arrive aboard Air Force One at Springfield-Branson National Airport at 12:55 p.m. 

He is then scheduled to make remarks at the Loren Cook manufacturing plant, 2015 E. Dale Street,  at 1:30 p.m. The topic is tax reform.

The notice from the White House does not specify if this is a public event. 

Loren Cook manufactures fans, blowers, vents and exhaust systems and exports internationally.

Protests of the president’s visit are already being organized by Springfield Indivisible and several other groups. 

According to a Facebook post, “The People’s Protest” has nearly 500 people indicating they plan to take part.
