Professional racers hit the bike trails in Bentonville

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson and professional mountain bike racer Brian Lopes are in Bentonville Wednesday, September 11.

The duo is riding “bikes” at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. The 300-acre site is a five-minute bike ride from downtown Bentonville.

Several other world-renowned champions are in the area as well. They include:

  • Tim Johnson – Cyclocross World Champion/Red Bull Athlete
  • Steve Peat –  MTB DH 8x Nat. Champ/3 Overall WC Titles/ 1x World Championship
  • Hans Rey –  MTB Legend/ Adventurer/Trial World Champ
  • Jeremy McGrath –  SX/Motocross Legend/7x SX Champ/72 SX wins
  • Mike Brown –  Motocross/WORCS champ/Endurocross 2x X-games gold 
  • Ben Bostrom –  2x Superbike AMA Champ/1x ama Super moto Champ & Xgames Gold
  • Mike “Hucker” Clark –  BMX dirt jumper/Xgames Silver & 3x NORA Cup jumper of yr
  • Nick Troutman –   World Champion Freestyle Kayak
