With the current extreme weather, the Salvation Army has opened its warming centers.
Folks can stay at the nonprofit anytime the wind chill is 34 degrees or below, be it during the day or overnight.
Warming centers can be found at both the Bentonville and Fayetteville Salvation Army locations.
The Salvation Army has also opened another warming center in Fayettville.
“Right now we have our activity center open every evening for anyone who needs a place to stay. We especially want to make it known to folks as the weather gets cold. We don’t want anyone staying outside,” said Ambra Bruce, director of social services for the Salvation Army in Fayetteville.
Breakfast and dinner are also provided for everyone who stays at the warming centers.
