FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — A group of NWA residents exercised their rights with an Open Carry Kilt Walk down Dickson Street on Friday night.

Organized by Patriots of Act 746,  the demonstration is meant to educate Arkansans about their liberties as Americans.

Specifically, the group wants to emphasize Second Amendment rights and Arkansas’ status as a constitutional carry state.

They say they came out to help people get used to the idea of people walking around with guns.

“A guns not gonna hurt nobody, its the person that does it. It’s not the gun. We just want to get everyone used to it. When people are used to it, it’s no big thing,” said Chuck Clifton with Patriots of Act 746.

This is the open-carry group’s first time to do the walk.
