A former Arkansas priest is accused of molesting at least one child while working at a Catholic school for boys in Logan County.

According to authorities, Rev. Jeremy Myers is accused of sexually assaulting a boy several times in Arkansas and Texas.

The abuse allegedly started in 1986 at Subiaco Academy in Logan County, where Myers served as dean of students, two years after his ordination as a priest. The assaults continued when the boy would visit Myers in Texas, according to the affidavit.

Court records were filed this week in Dallas County, Texas, alleging abuse by five clergy members, including Myers.

On Wednesday, police searched offices at the Dallas Catholic Diocese after claiming the investigation had been “thwarted” by church officials.

At the time of the allegation, Myers had served as a priest assigned to St. Mary’s Parish in Sherman, Texas for more than 20 years.
