A Springdale man was sentenced to over five years in prison for drug trafficking.
Jose Calderon, 48, was sentenced to 65 months in prison and three years of supervised release on one count of possession with intent to distribute meth.
According to Calderon’s plea agreement, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Springdale Narcotics Unit conducted two controlled buys with an intermediary for Calderon.
A search warrant was issued for Calderon’s residence where $783 in cash and two cell phones were found. Calderon was agreed to work with law enforcement and led officers to a large quantity of meth concealed inside a lampshade.
Calderon was indicted in May 2016 and pleaded guilty in July 2016.
