Springdale to Install Protected Bike Lanes

FOX24

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFTA) — The City of Springdale will soon install protected lanes specifically for cyclists as part of a test for feasibility.

The lanes will run down Maple Street from South Pleasant Street to Holcomb Street.

They’ll be marked by green paint with low striped rubber dividers between bikeways and the road.

The lanes will connect more parts of the city to the Razorback Greenway.

You can expect to see them in the next ninety days.

Bike NWA officials announced the details of a public meeting where you can share your thoughts on the protected bike lane in Springdale.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Arts Center of the Ozarks on Thursday.

You’ll have the opportunity to give feedback on the pilot project proposed for Meadow, Maple and Holcomb streets.
