Online retail giant amazon launched its new video service “Amazon video direct” on Tuesday. It appears to have the same format as YouTube and allows users to upload content, share with other Amazon customers, or sell it. Users can offer videos for free to prime members, and free with ads to other Amazon customers. The company also launched “video direct stars,” on Tuesday. The new rewards program lets users get a share of $1 million based on how well their videos perform.
Australian national university archeologists say axe fragments found in the country’s western region come from the world’s oldest known ground edge axe. Lead archeologist professor Sue O’Connor says the axe is between 46 and 49,000 years old. She says humans likely arrived in Australia roughly 50,000 years ago.
