Transgender Day of Visibility: Town Hall Meeting at UA

FAYETTEVILLE, AR — It is the international Transgender Day of Visibility and in honor, there is an event happening at the University of Arkansas Student Union.

It will be a town hall meeting setting for medical and mental health providers to interact with and get to know the local transgender community, and is set for Tuesday, March 31 from 5:30 until 9:00 p.m.

Several speakers will be addressing “matters of mind, body, and spirit” as it pertains to transgender people in Northwest Arkansas. The event is being sponsored by several groups including the Transgender Equality Network, Northwest Arkansas Center for Equality and the Omni Center for Peace.

After the program which will take place in Arkansas Student Union Room 507-508, attendees are invited to mingle and establish more personal bridges between the represented communities.
