The Little Rock Trojans are getting a shot at the big dance — after their highly talked about regular season success.
The men’s basketball team secured their spot after winning the sun belt conference tournament Sunday.
Now they’ll prepare to take on the Purdue Boilermakers in Denver Thursday for the first round of the NCAA tournament.
This will be the second appearance for the Trojans in the past 10 years.
Also going to the NCAA Tournament, the University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears.
The women’s basketball team defeated Sam Houston State in the Southland Conference Title game on Sunday, cementing a spot in the big dance.
This will be their first appearance in the tournament as a division one team.
The Sugar Bears will find out their destination and opponent for the NCAA Tournament Monday.
