U of A First Dog Show Not Deterred by Weather

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff joined together for its first ever “Best in Show” event to help burn off a little finals-related steam.

Everyone gathered at the honors college to show off their favorite canine companions, which had to move inside because Mother Nature was less than cooperative.

Even though it didn’t go as originally planned, Honors College Dean Kynda Coon said everyone had a great time with their furry pals.

“It’s been an amazing success in spite of the weather, which isn’t so great today,” Coon said. “But you can see we got all kinds of folks from provosts, deans, faculty, students and staff coming out for this event.”

This was the first year for the event and awards were handed out ranging from best costume to best dishwasher.
