U of A spring commencement ceremonies begin today

A big weekend for Arkansas graduates as family and friends will gather to celebrate the spring commencement.

Over 4,500 hundred University of Arkansas students are planning to attend the 2019 spring commencement ceremonies on May 10 and 11 and the School of Law ceremony on May 18.

The number of students attending has grown by 67% since 2012 when the fall ceremony was reinstated.

The largest number of students attending will be undergraduates with about 3,500 planning to walk.

University of Arkansas graduating students, their parents, family and friends can now get full, updated information about the spring commencement ceremonies with an app for their mobile phones.

The new mobile guide from the office of the registrar can answer questions about the commencement ceremonies, including schedules, parking maps, speakers and even the names of all the prospective graduates.

The U of A graduation app can be downloaded at Google Play or Apple.
